Isabel Albiol Estrada explores the relationship between the history of ideas, institutional collections and the methods used to show artefacts within the museum context. Through being displayed in ways that make them special and precious, the objects take on associations beyond their original use, or the concept of the maker. Albiol Estrada has researched how the work of Henry Moore has been venerated and preserved, and comments on this and his humanity in her digital prints.
|
Henry Moore made thousands of prints, but the techniques of digital imaging were not available to him when he was at the height of his creative powers.
Albiol Estrada also draws parallels between Moore 's working methods and her own.

Thebes Gallery is converted from the stable block of Lewes House, in which the American collector Edward Perry Warren stored Auguste Rodin's sculpture The Kiss 1900-04 for nearly two decades.
